HB 2967, a GOA-endorsed bill, is stuck in the Calendars committee. This bill is important to protect gun owners’ rights.

It would end unjust criminalization of a motorcyclist’s right to carry a handgun. It would keep honest, law-abiding Texans from being harassed or detained for carrying a handgun when they were wrongly put on the Texas DPS criminal street gang database without due process or criminal conviction.

If the bill doesn’t go to the House floor in the next few days, it will be dead.

Take Action: Please call Chairman Burrows at 512-463-0542. Say something like this:

“Hi, my name is ___________, and I’m calling to ask Chair Burrows to set HB 2967 for the House Floor immediately! I believe this bill is important to protect honest Texans from wrongful discrimination and detainment.”
